50s - Who's Sorry Now (Connie Francis)

Who's Sorry Now

"Who's Sorry Now?" is a popular song with music written by Ted Snyder and lyrics by Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby in 1923.

But it was only made popular by American songstress Connie Francis in 1958. It reached #4 in the US Billboard charts and did much better in UK at #1 for six weeks (May - June 1958).

Among the artistes who covered the song are Ella Fitzgerald (1960), Marie Osmond (1975) and Harry Connick, Jr (2009).

Lyrics:

Who's sorry now?
Who's sorry now?
Whose heart is aching for breaking each vow?
Who's sad and blue?
Who's crying too?
Just like I cried over you?

Right to the end
Just like a friend
I tried to warn you somehow
You had your way,
Now you must pay
I'm glad that you're sorry now.
